The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
